Dabrafenib is a type of targeted therapy, used to treat specific kinds of melanoma and lung cancer, like the BRAF V600E/K-mutation ones. It works by keeping this BRAF kinase protein in check—a protein that’s super important in cancer growth and spread. You can get this medication in two doses—the 50 mg pill and the 75 mg one.
Doctors usually suggest adults take 150 mg of it twice a day. That means one 75 mg and one 50 mg capsule each time. You should take it on an empty belly to make sure you get the most out of it.
They come in bottles, each with 120 capsules.
