Tivozanib is used to treat advanced renal cell carcinoma, also known as RCC. It falls into a group of drugs known as VEGFR inhibitors. They work by stopping the growth of new blood vessels, which is called angiogenesis.
You can get Tivozanib in capsules that have either 890 micrograms or 1.34 milligrams of the main stuff. Doctors usually advise adults to take 1.34 milligrams of this stuff every day for 21 days out of every 28 days. You can take Tivozanib pills with or without food—it doesn’t matter much.
Each bottle has 21 capsules, which is just right for a 21-day supply.
