Olaparib is a kind of PARP inhibitor. It’s mainly used to treat cancer in ovaries, breasts, pancreases, and prostates that are caused by BRCA mutations. It works by stopping cancer cells from fixing their DNA, which in turn keeps them from growing or making more of themselves.
You can find it in two sizes of pills—both are coated and one is 100 milligrams while the other is 150 milligrams. Most people take 300 milligrams of olaparib two times a day. And you can take these pills with or without eating.
It comes in bottles that hold 60 of these tablets each.
