Vemurafenib is a kind of therapy that stops a protein called BRAF. It targets a specific change in the BRAF gene, known as V600E, that often appears in melanoma. It’s used for melanoma that’s either spread or can’t be taken out with surgery.
Vemurafenib comes in tablets coated to protect them. Each tablet is 240 mg. The suggest amount is 960 mg, taken two times a day.
So that’s two pills at a time. You can take the tablets with or without eating. Each bottle holds 112 tablets.
