Valganciclovir is an antiviral. It’s used to treat CMV retinitis and prevent it in transplant patients. It works by stopping the virus from making more DNA.
You can get it as 450 mg tablets with a coating. You should take 900 mg, either once or twice a day, with food. The tablets come in bottles with 60 in each.
