It goes after this enzyme called EZH2, which is really important for something called epigenetic regulation. The drug comes in the form of tablets with a coating and each one has 200 mg of the stuff.
Doctors usually suggest adults take 800 mg of the stuff, twice a day. That’s two tablets a time, each with 200 mg. These tablets come in bottles, each with 240 tablets inside.
Tazemetostat works by stopping the epigenetic regulation process. This messes up the enzyme EZH2. People think this drug helps fight cancer cells because it stops the changes to histones that EZH2 makes.
This changes how the cell’s DNA is wrapped up and affects how cells grow.
