Tivozanib is a type of VEGFR inhibitor, used to treat advanced RCC. You can get it in capsules that are either 890 micrograms or 1.34 milligrams. The usual dose is 1.34 milligrams once a day for 21 days straight.
Then you take a break for 7 days. It’s a 28-day cycle. Tivozanib can be taken with or without food and is provided in bottles containing 21 capsules.
Tivozanib stops the growth of blood vessels to the tumor, which helps slow down how the tumor grows.
