Erdafitinib is used for treating advanced bladder cancer with those FGFR2 or FGFR3 changes. It’s a kinase inhibitor that stops the signals from these fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFRs). You can get Erdafitinib in 3mg, 4mg, or 5mg tablet forms, all with a coating.
The usual starting dose is 8 mg once a day, but it might be adjusted up to 9 mg if needed. It’s fine to take with or without eating. You should just swallow the pill whole.
The pills come in bottles with 56 of them. Some side effects you might notice are skin rashes, thinning hair, nail changes, diarrhea, or high blood pressure.
