Selumetinib is this thing that stops MEK protein. It’s used to help with neurofibromatosis type 1, especially when there are those plexiform neurofibromas. You know, those not-so-nice growths.
So it’s like a MEK inhibitor, right? It stops MEK signaling, and that’s a big deal because it helps those plexiform neurofibromas from getting bigger or spreading. There are two doses for Selumetinib — 10mg and 25mg. The usual dose is 25mg, and you’ve got to take it twice a day, on an empty stomach, by the way.
