Lorlatinib is this fancy new drug, and it’s a third-generation inhibitor for something called ALK and ROS1. It’s supposed to help people who have this really bad type of lung cancer, the kind where the cancer has already spread, and other ALK treatments haven’t worked. So, it goes after these specific parts in cancer cells, the ALK and ROS1 kinases, to keep tumors from growing.
It comes in two doses, a smaller one and a bigger one—the 25 mg pill and the 100 mg pill. You’re supposed to take the 100 mg pill once a day, whenever you eat or don’t. These pills come in bottles with 30 in each, ready to go.
