Anagrelide’s main job is to lower platelet levels, and it’s often used for a condition called essential thrombocythemia. It works by stopping the maturation of big cells called megakaryocytes. The drug comes in capsules, each containing 0.5 milligrams.
Typically, you take half a milligram of it four times a day, but you can change the dose based on what works best for you. The capsules come in bottles with 100 pills in each.
