Tucatinib is a kind of HER2 inhibitor drug. It’s made just for breast cancer patients who have brain tumors and whose cancer tests positive for HER2. It works by stopping the HER2 signaling pathway.
This pathway is really important for breast cancer tumors to grow and spread around. You can get this drug in two doses: 50 mg and 150 mg. They both come in these shiny, coated tablets.
The dose they usually recommend is 300 mg, taken two times a day, and it’s best to take it with food. Each dose comes in a bottle with 60 tablets.
