Tivozanib is a med that goes after this thing called VEGFR, and it’s used to treat advanced kidney cancer. So it works by stopping the growth of blood vessels, which cuts off the tumor’s blood and helps it shrink. You can get Tivozanib in two doses — either 890 micrograms or 1.34 milligrams in a capsule.
The doc usually says to take 1.34 milligrams every day for three weeks. Then you’ve got a one-week break, and that makes up a whole four-week cycle. You can take Tivozanib with or without food.
It comes in bottles with 21 capsules each. Just make sure you stick to the schedule they give you.
