Valganciclovir’s main job is to treat CMV retinitis and help stop it from coming back in transplant patients. It keeps viruses from making copies of their own DNA. You get this in tablet form, each one weighs 450 mg, and they have a coating.
Typically, you’re supposed to take 900 mg of it either once or twice each day, and best to have it with some food. Each bottle usually has 60 pills in it.
