Mitotane’s main job is to target the adrenal glands and it’s used to treat adrenocortical carcinoma. The stuff comes in 500 mg tablet form. You’re supposed to start with a dose of 2 to 6 grams a day, split up over the course of the day.
The doc will tweak the dosage to see what you can handle. It comes in bottles with 100 tablets. Mitotane works by putting the adrenal glands on pause, which helps control the symptoms and the cancer’s growth.
