Larotrectinib is a selective inhibitor targeting TRKA, TRKB, and TRKC, used to treat solid tumors with NTRK gene fusions. It’s used for grown-ups and kids who have cancer that can’t be taken out or has spread, and it’s caused by something called NTRK gene fusions. You can get Larotrectinib in two types: either 25 mg or 100 mg in capsule form, or as a 20 mg/mL liquid.
For adults, they usually say to take 100 mg two times a day. For kids, the dose depends on how much space they take up on the outside, which is called body surface area. You’ll find it in bottles with 60 capsules inside.
