Crizotinib is a kinase inhibitor. It’s mainly used for treating a type of lung cancer called NSCLC, which is often caused by ALK or ROS1 mutations. It works by stopping the ALK, ROS1, and MET kinases from doing their thing.
These kinases are key players in helping cancer cells grow and spread. You can get Crizotinib in two doses: 200 mg and 250 mg. The usual dose is 250 mg twice a day.
You can take it with or without eating. It comes in bottles with 60 capsules in each. It’s meant to be part of a bigger treatment plan, and you should take it with a healthcare provider watching you.
