Sorafenib is a kind of medicine that stops enzymes called kinases. It’s used to treat certain types of cancer. It affects more than one kind of kinase, like VEGFR, PDGFR, and RAF kinases.
It works well against things like late-stage RCC, liver cancer that can’t be cut out, and thyroid cancer that doesn’t respond to radioactive iodine. You can get the drug in 200 mg tablet form. The usual amount is 400 mg twice a day, which makes a total of 800 mg, and it’s taken on an empty stomach.
The tablets come in bottles that have 120 pills in each one.
