Palbociclib is a CDK4/6 inhibitor for HR /HER2breast cancer. It stops the cells from dividing by keeping the CDK4 and CDK6 from doing their thing. You can get it in 75, 100, or 125 mg doses.
The normal amount is 125 mg every day for three weeks out of four. Each bottle has 21 capsules for one dose. You should keep taking it, but after 21 days, you’ll take a 7-day break before you start another 21-day stretch.
Just swallow the capsules whole, don’t break or chew them. Palbociclib has been shown to reduce the risk of disease progression or recurrence in certain patients with HR /HER2breast cancer. It’s really important to take the medicine as your doctor says and let them know if you feel anything funny.
