This is Tenofovir Alafenamide, an NRTI. It’s used to treat chronic HBV and HIV. It does its job by blocking the enzyme that lets the virus copy itself.
The drug comes as a 25 mg tablet with a coating. You take one 25 mg tablet a day with food if you have HBV. If you have HIV, your doc will tell you the right dose for you.
You’re supposed to eat when you take these pills so they work better and are absorbed right. You’ll get this med in bottles with 30 tablets inside each one. This drug is meant for long-term use and you really need to be careful, only taking it with a doc’s okay.
