And the magic ingredient in this stuff? It’s called a 6-thiopurinyl pyrimidine. Entrectinib is super for people who have specific types of cancer cells mixed up in their solid tumors or a more advanced kind of lung cancer, called NSCLC. You can get this in capsules that are either 100 or 200 milligrams.
The usual amount is 600 mg, just once per day, and you can take it with or without eating—no big deal either way. Whether you’re popping three 200-milligram pills or six 100-milligram ones, that’s what makes up a dose. They usually come in a bottle with 30 capsules.
Sometimes, based on the type of cancer you’ve got and if there’s this thing called a companion diagnostic, they might suggest a different dose.
