Ivosidenib is an oral med. It’s used to treat AML that’s come back or doesn’t respond to treatment, especially when there are IDH1 mutations. It’s an IDH1 inhibitor.
It works by targeting the mutated IDH1 enzyme to help slow down cancer cell growth. You can get Ivosidenib in tablets with a film coating. Each tablet has 250 mg of the main stuff.
The usual dose is 500 mg, and you take it every day. The med comes in bottles with 60 tablets each. Patients really need to stick to their prescribed dose for it to work well.
