Alectinib is used to treat ALK-positive metastatic non-small cell lung cancer, or NSCLC, which means it targets a certain type of lung cancer. It works by stopping a process in the body called ALK signaling. The drug comes in capsule form with a dose of 150 mg each.
The suggested amount for grown-ups is to take 600 mg, twice a day. Make sure to eat while taking it, though! A bottle usually has around 240 capsules to go. The capsules are meant to be taken along with food to make them easier on the body and better absorbed.
