Tenofovir Alafenamide is an NRTI. It’s a type of nucleos(t)ide reverse transcriptase inhibitor. It’s used to treat chronic hepatitis B and HIV.
It works by blocking an enzyme called reverse transcriptase. This enzyme is key for HBV and HIV to copy themselves. You can get it in 25 mg film-coated tablets.
The usual dose is one 25 mg tablet a day, and you should take it with food. They come in bottles with 30 tablets in each.
