So, IXazomib Capsule is a strong pill that stops something called proteasomes, helping to treat multiple myeloma when it’s taken with other drugs. These packs come with different dosages—either 3×2.3 mg or 2×4 mg of ixazomib, plus capsules that are all about the same size, with two big ones (3 mg) and one little one (2 mg). They can be taken between days 8-15 or throughout the whole cycle.
So you do the therapy for three months, then take a nice break for 16 weeks. During treatment, you’ll take ixazomib—either 3 mg or 4 mg—by mouth every other week on the first day. And don’t forget to take 20 mg of dexamethasone on days 1, 2, 8, 15, and 22.
Each blister pack of Ixazomib has 4 pills. They come in different sizes—2 big ones at 2.3 mg each, 4 medium ones at 2.3 mg, or 4 small ones at 3 mg. This mix makes it so you get your dose of 6, 8.9, or 8 mg whenever you’re supposed to take it, once a week.
