Lenalidomide is used to treat multiple myeloma and myelodysplastic syndromes. It’s an immunomodulator, you know. It changes how your immune system responds and can affect cancer cell growth.
It’s available in capsule doses ranging from 2.5 to 25 milligrams. The usual dose is 25 milligrams every day for 21 days out of every 28 days. Each pack has 21 capsules to cover three doses in one cycle.
The capsules work by stopping something called XPO1, which in turn affects where some important proteins go inside the cell. This helps control how cells live and grow.
