Selumetinib is an inhibitor of MEK, and it’s used for people with neurofibromatosis type 1 who have those kind of plexiform neurofibromas. It works by stopping the MEK signaling process. The drug comes in two strengths: a 10 mg pill and a 25 mg one.
The usual dose is 25 mg twice a day, best on an empty belly. You can get this stuff in bottles with 60 capsules. It’s really good at dealing with those plexiform neurofibromas that come with neurofibromatosis type 1.
