Adagrasib is used to treat non-small cell lung cancer. It specifically targets those cases where there’s a KRAS G12C mutation. It’s a targeted treatment focused on that mutation in the KRAS gene.
Adagrasib comes as 200 mg pills, and each bottle has 180 of them. You’re supposed to take 600 mg of it, two times a day. You can take it with or without food.
As a KRAS G12C inhibitor, it works by blocking the activity of the mutated KRAS protein, which is crucial for cell growth and division. The active stuff in adagrasib helps folks who haven’t seen any improvements from other treatments, or those with a particular KRAS G12C glitch.
