Alectinib is prescribed for treating advanced Lung Cancer, known as NSCLC, that has ALK as a marker. It’s like it targets a specific fault in the cancer to help stop its spread. It works by stopping a certain path in cancer cells caused by an ALK thing—it’s like a big roadblock for the cancer.
These are capsules, sort of like little pills filled with 150mg of the good stuff. You’re meant to take two 600mg doses in a day, one with each meal. Each bottle of Alectinib comes with 240 capsules to make it easy to stick to the twice-a-day dosage they recommend, without needing to cut anything open.
