Alectinib is used specifically for a type of lung cancer that has spread. It targets the cancer by blocking something called ALK, a kinase found in the disease. It works by keeping that ALK kinase from sending cancer-growing messages.
This comes in caps, each one holding 150 mg of the good stuff. They usually suggest popping a 600 mg capsule twice a day on the belly side if you can handle that with a snack. Each package holds a bottle packed with 240 capsules, good for about a month.
As an ALK inhibitor, Alectinib is an oral tablet intended for adults aged 18 years or older and may be used for extended periods as indicated.
