Ribociclib is a drug that targets certain enzymes, called cyclin-dependent kinases 4 and 6. It’s made to help treat breast cancer that has hormone receptors and doesn’t have the HER2 protein. It works by stopping the growth phase of cells, which in turn slows down cancer cell growth.
You take it in 200 mg tablets. The usual dose is 600 mg a day for 21 days every 28 days. The tablets come in packs with 63 pills, so you won’t run out in the middle of your treatment cycle.
