Alpelisib is a PI3K inhibitor. It’s used for treating breast cancer in people with hormone receptors and noHER2. It works on a mutation in the PIK3CA gene.
It works by going after the PI3K signaling system. There are these tablets that come in 50 mg, 200 mg, and the strongest at 300 mg. They have a special coating on them.
They usually say you should take 300 mg once a day, preferably with a meal. You’ll get these tablets in packs of 28 little blisters.
