This medicine is used along with encorafenib to treat melanoma that has BRAF V600E/K mutations. The way it works is by stopping MEK signaling. It comes as 15-milligram film-coated tablets.
The usual dose is 45 milligrams, taken two times per day. Each package has 84 of these tablets. These should be taken on an empty stomach, either about an hour before you eat or two hours after.
Swallow the caps whole—don’t chew, break them open, or dissolve them. The capsules should be stored in a cool, dry place at temperatures not exceeding 25C (77F). Make sure these are locked up so the kiddos can’t get to ’em and keep them dry.
If you have side effects or you just can’t handle the dose, the doc might need to change your dosage. There are all these contras, warnings, and important bits you get with the product info.
