Binimetinib blocks the MEK enzyme, which is a protein involved in the growth of melanomas with the BRAF V600E or K mutation. It’s made to be taken with encorafenib. The tablets are coated and each one has 15 mg of the good stuff.
You should take 45 mg twice a day for a total of 90 mg every 24 hours. You get 84 tablets in each bottle. It stops a process that’s like a growth switch for some melanomas.
Take the tablets with some water; it doesn’t matter if you’ve eaten or not. You need to keep taking it as your doc says, even if the tumor gets smaller or is taken out. Expect some side effects like sickness, tummy trouble, tiredness, and skin issues.
