Dacomitinib is used to treat Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer. It’s an EGFR inhibitor. It’s especially for people who have certain mutations in the EGFR gene, like exon 19 deletion or L858R mutation.
It works by stopping the EGFR pathway, which keeps cancer cells from growing and spreading. Dacomitinib comes in tablets, with three different strengths: 15, 30, and 45 milligrams. The usual dose is 45 milligrams, taken just once each day.
Each strength comes in a bottle with 30 tablets.
