Pemigatinib is a special kind of FGFR inhibitor. It’s made just for treating cholangiocarcinoma, especially the types that have FGFR2 fusions. It works by stopping the FGFR signaling pathway to try and stop the cancer from getting worse.
There are three different strengths of this drug: 4.5 mg, 9 mg, and 13.5 mg in tablet form. The doc says to take a 13.5 mg pill every day for 14 days. Then you’ve got a 21-day break before starting again.
