So, Larotrectinib is this cool drug that blocks certain types of TRK receptors, like TRKA, TRKB, and TRKC. It’s mainly used to treat solid tumors that have something called NTRK gene fusions. The drug is for both adults and kids who have bad cancers, like ones they can’t take out or ones that have spread, and these cancers have this NTRK fusion thing.
And guess what? There are three ways you can take it: either 25 or 100 mg in capsule form, or as a 20 mg/mL liquid. For grown-ups, they usually recommend 100 mg two times a day. For kids, it’s a bit different, they figure it out based on how big they are.
They usually put it in bottles with 60 capsules each.
