Larotrectinib is a type of medicine that’s known as a selective TRK inhibitor. It’s made to hit and stop the growth of solid tumors that have NTRK gene fusions, like TRKA, TRKB, and TRKC. It’s used to treat cancers that can’t be removed or have spread, and it works for both adults and kids.
You can get it in three different types: 25 mg or 100 mg capsules, or a 20 mg/mL liquid. For adults, the standard dose is 100 mg, taken twice a day. For kids, it’s based on how much space they take up.
The stuff comes in bottles with 60 capsules in each.
