Osimertinib is made to stop a specific type of change, called the T790M EGFR mutation, that’s often found in NSCLC. It comes as tablets with two dosages—40mg and 80mg. They usually recommend 80mg per day for treating NSCLC, you can take it with or without meals.
The tablets come in packs of 30 pills. It focuses on specific mutations that fuel tumor growth in NSCLC. Osimertinib is a targeted therapy.
It tries to cut down side effects by just targeting the cancer cells, keeping the good cells safe.
