Mitotane is a medication used to treat adrenocortical carcinoma. It works by keeping the adrenal glands from doing their thing. The tablets are 500 mg each.
They’re usually taken in doses between 2 and 6 grams a day, spread out throughout the day. The amount can be changed depending on how the patient handles it. You get 100 tablets in each bottle.
Mitotane is meant for long-term treatment in people with more serious or widespread adrenocortical carcinoma.
