Mitotane is a drug that’s used to treat adrenocortical carcinoma. It targets the adrenal glands. It works by keeping the adrenal glands from doing their thing too much.
This medicine is in tablet form, and each tablet is 500 mg. Typically, you start with 2 to 6 grams a day, split up into a few doses. The amount is then changed according to how well you handle it.
You get this med in bottles, each with 100 of those 500 mg tablets.
