Erdafitinib is an inhibitor used to treat advanced urothelial carcinoma with FGFR2/3 changes. It stops the FGFR signaling process. You can get it in three strengths: 3mg, 4mg, or 5mg, all in film-coated tablets.
The usual dose is 8mg a day, but it might go up to 9mg if needed. You get it in bottles that have 56 tablets. It specifically goes after the FGFR pathways, and it’s meant for people with cancer that has specific genetic changes in this protein family.
It might not work as well if someone has certain mutations that let it slip through, like N-ras, K-ras, BRAF, PIK3CA, TCF1, NCI60, NIKKOH, HRAS, TP53, and EGFR changes. It’s a good idea to keep an eye on your liver and kidney health while on this treatment to make sure it’s safe and works well.
