Gilteritinib is an FLT3 inhibitor. It’s used to treat AML patients who have FLT3 mutations and have relapsed or don’t respond to treatment. It works by blocking FLT3 kinase, which in turn slows down the growth of leukemia cells.
You take it in the form of 40 mg tablets. The usual dose is 120 mg, taken just once a day with food. The tablets come in bottles that hold 90 tablets each.
