Quizartinib’s purpose is to help treat AML that doesn’t respond to regular treatments, especially when there’s a FLT3-ITD mutation, which affects a protein called FLT3. The drug goes after that FLT3 protein, stopping it from causing trouble. It comes in two doses, 17.7 mg and 26.5 mg as film-coated tablets, with a recommended daily dose of 53 mg after a ramp-up period.
Each bottle holds 28 tablets for you. It’s for patients who didn’t have luck with other treatments or can’t deal with them. The key part in Quizartinib does its job by shutting down that bad FLT3 protein, which is usually not behaving right in people with AML.
