Vigabatrin is used for treating hard-to-control epilepsy and infantile spasms. It works by stopping the GABA transaminase enzyme. Its main goal is to boost the levels of GABA in the brain.
You can take it as a 500 mg tablet or as a powdered mix in a packet. The usual amount is 1 to 3 grams spread out over a few doses each day. You can get these tablets in boxes with 100 of them.
Most people take the doses with meals, which makes it easier to swallow. But it’s not as good if you take it at night.
