Mavacamten is used to treat something called obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. It works by slowing down the heart’s muscle action, which makes the heart contract less. You can get it in capsules in four strengths: 2.5, 5, 10, or 15 milligrams.
You usually start with 5 mg a day, but the doc might change it up if needed. These capsules come in bottles with 30 in each.
