Sunitinib is a kinase inhibitor. It’s mainly used to treat RCC, GIST, and NETs in the pancreas. It stops a bunch of kinases, like VEGFR and PDGFR.
The drug comes in capsule form. You can get it in 12.5, 25, or 50 mg doses. The standard dose is 50 mg a day, but you take it for 4 weeks and then take 2 weeks off.
Total cycle is 6 weeks. Each pack has 28 capsules, which is enough for a month’s worth of the recommended dose.
