Tivozanib is an inhibitor of vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR) used in the treatment of advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC). They give you these capsules that come in 890 micrograms or 1.34 milligrams. You take them by mouth.
You’re supposed to take 1.34 milligrams a day for 21 days in a row, then take a break for 7 days. The treatment is conducted in a 28-day cycle, and the capsules can be taken with or without food. Each bottle has 21 capsules with your dose of tivozanib in them.
