TAF, or Tenofovir Alafenamide, is an NRTI. It’s used to treat long-term HBV and HIV infections. It works by stopping a called reverse transcriptase from doing its thing.
The TAF tablets are 25 mg each, and they’re coated for easier swallowing. You’re supposed to take one 25 mg tablet every day with something to eat, so it absorbs right. Each bottle of TAF comes with 30 tablets, that’s one month’s supply.
TAF is pretty good at what it does, and it’s well tolerated, so that’s why it’s used for those conditions. Just swallow the pill whole, no biting or crushing.。
