Afatinib is an inhibitor. It’s for non-small cell lung cancer, specifically for people who have the EGFR exon 19 deletion or the exon 21 L858R mutations. It goes after the EGFR and HER2 pathways.
They give it as these film-coated tablets, in 20, 30, or 40 mg doses. Doctors usually recommend taking it at 40 mg, just once every day, and on an empty stomach, too. Each bottle has 30 pills in it.
